I spent my life doing honest work with my hands. Then I lost most of my vision to a degenerative disease. I didn't quit - I built a farm in Mora instead. Now I'm running for Congress because career politicians have corrupted the system long enough. No donors. No lobbyists. Just you.
ABOUT ANTHONY
My name is Anthony Hamilton. I'm a homesteader and hobby farmer from Mora, Minnesota. Most of my life I worked in residential maintenance - real work, honest work. When retinitis pigmentosa took most of my vision, I adapted. I built a farm. I kept going.
I'm not a lawyer. I'm not a career politician. I've never taken a dime from a lobbyist because I've never been worth buying -until now.
I'm running as a Republican in Minnesota's 8th District because the people of the Iron Range, Duluth, and Bemidji deserve a representative who actually shows up, tells the truth, and puts working Minnesotans first.
My opponent has been in Washington since 2019. What has changed? The debt is higher. Congress still trades stocks on inside information. Lobbyists still run the halls. Shutdowns still happen. I'm done waiting for someone else to fix it.

Term Limits
Congress was never meant to be a career. I support a Constitutional Amendment limiting House members to 3 terms and Senators to 2. That includes everyone serving now.

End Lobbying Corruption
Foreign money, dark money, and the revolving door between Congress and K Street are corrupting your government. I will push to ban foreign-affiliated PACs, extend post-service lobbying bans to 5 years, and require full public disclosure of every meeting between lobbyists and elected officials.

Attendance & Accountability
Congress works fewer than 140 days a year and earns $174,000 of your money. If you didn't show up to your job, you'd be fired. Congress should be no different. I support minimum 200 session days, public attendance records, and salary suspension for chronic absenteeism.

Ban Congressional Stock Trading
Members of Congress shouldn't be getting rich off information you don't have. Period. I support a full ban on stock trading by members and their families while in office - with mandatory blind trusts and criminal penalties for violations.

No Budget, No Pay
Every government shutdown is a failure of leadership. I will push legislation that immediately suspends congressional salaries during any shutdown - with no back pay. You don't govern, you don't get paid. Simple.
